Secured a $685,000 Grant

We secured a $685,000 TDEC ARP grant for Walden to address issues surrounding stormwater and infrastructure.

Native Plant Initiatives

We are instituting Native Plant initiatives around Walden, particularly the welcome to Walden signs.

Updated Town Website

Created a new, more informative, interactive website for the Town of Walden providing more comprehensive and transparent information for residents

Slow Down Walden

Developed a campaign to raise awareness about the need for drivers to slow down.

Pedestrian Crosswalks

Pedestrian Crosswalks at Signal Mountain Christian School and across Lake Avenue from Ivory to Spring Street.

Created Citizen Advisory Committees

We created Citizen Advisory Committees to help maximize the impact of our town government.

TDOT Planning Grant

Obtained a TDOT Planning Grant for Taft Highway Corridor.

Walden Planning Commission

Helped create the Walden Planning Commission to have a group of volunteer townspeople help determine the future of Walden.

Roads & Safety Committee

Served on the Roads & Safety Committee from connception to present day.

Bee City USA Designation

Obtained designation as a Bee City USA for Walden and a National Wildlife Habitat.

Award Winning Land Use Plan

Through extensive collaboration with the citizens of Walden, we created the Walden Land Use Plan, which was the sole recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Plan for a Small Jurisdiction by the Tennessee Chapter of the American Planning Association.
